SOPA and PIPA - Learn more
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What exactly is Wikipedia doing?
Wikipedia is protesting against SOPA and PIPA by blacking out the English Wikipedia for 24 hours, beginning at midnight January 18, Eastern Time. Readers who come to English Wikipedia during the blackout will not be able to read the encyclopedia: instead, they will see messages intended to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA, and encouraging them to share their views with their elected representatives, and via social media.
What are SOPA and PIPA?
SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Detailed information about these bills can be found in the Stop Online Piracy Act and PROTECT IP Act articles on Wikipedia, which are available during the blackout. You can also follow them through the legislative process here and here. The EFF has summarized why these bills are simply unacceptable in a world that values an open, secure, and free Internet.
Why is this happening?
Nothing like this has ever happened before on the English Wikipedia. Wikipedians have chosen to black out the English Wikipedia for the first time ever, because we are concerned that SOPA and PIPA will severely inhibit people's access to online information. This is not a problem that will solely affect people in the United States: it will affect everyone around the world.
Why? SOPA and PIPA are badly drafted legislation that won't be effective in their main goal (to stop copyright infringement), and will cause serious damage to the free and open Internet. They put the burden on website owners to police user-contributed material and call for the unnecessary blocking of entire sites. Small sites won't have sufficient resources to defend themselves. Big media companies may seek to cut off funding sources for their foreign competitors, even if copyright isn't being infringed. Foreign sites will be blacklisted, which means they won't show up in major search engines. And, SOPA and PIPA build a framework for future restrictions and suppression.
Do you care about infringement?
Yes. Wikipedians spend thousands of hours every week working tirelessly in reviewing and removing infringing content. Wikipedia talk pages show tremendous care about protecting copyright and sophisticated study on the many nuances of what constitutes infringement as opposed to legitimate speech. Wikipedia is based on a model of free licenses. Every Wikipedian is a rights owner, licensing their work under free licenses. Infringement harms our mission; free licenses do not work with infringement. Wikipedia has a mission of sharing knowledge around the world, and that is not possible when the knowledge is tainted with infringement. So, yes, Wikipedians care deeply about protecting the rights of others and ensuring against infringement.
But this does not mean Wikipedians are willing to trample on free expression like SOPA and PIPA. The proposed legislation seeks to take down sites entirely, because courts and others simply don't have time to worry about the nuances of copyright law and free expression. That is what is troubling. When the remedies are bludgeons, when entire sites are taken down, when everyone assumes that all content is infringing because some is, we lose something important. We lose the nuances of copyright about which our community cares, we lose our values based on protecting free speech, we lose what we represent. The Internet cannot turn into a world where free expression is ignored to accomodate overly simple solutions that gratify powerful rightowners who spend lots of money to promote the regulation of expression. There are better ways, like the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, to find the right approach to legitimate copyright enforcement without trampling on free expression. SOPA and PIPA don't represent these values, and for that reason we ask you to oppose these bills.
Isn't SOPA dead? Wasn't the bill shelved, and didn't the White House declare that it won't sign anything that resembles the current bill?
No, neither SOPA nor PIPA are dead. On January 17th, SOPA's sponsor said the bill will be discussed in early February. There are signs PIPA may be debated on the Senate floor next week. Moreover, SOPA and PIPA are just indicators of a much broader problem. We are already seeing big media calling us names. In many jurisdictions around the world, we're seeing the development of legislation that prioritizes overly-broad copyright enforcement laws, laws promoted by power players, over the preservation of individual civil liberties. We want the Internet to be free and open, everywhere, for everyone.
Aren’t SOPA/PIPA as they stand not even really a threat to Wikipedia? Won't the DNS provisions be removed?
SOPA and PIPA are still alive, and they’re still a threat to the free and open web, which means they are a threat to Wikipedia. For example, in its current form, SOPA would require U.S. sites to take on the heavy burden of actively policing third-party links for infringing content. And even with the DNS provisions removed, the bill would give the U.S. government extraordinary, ambiguous, and loosely-defined powers to take control over content and information on the free web. Taking one bad provision out doesn't make the bills okay, and regardless, Internet experts agree they won't even be effective in their main goal: halting copyright infringement. The Electronic Frontier Foundation has published a really great post about some of the more dangerous SOPA and PIPA provisions.
What can users outside of the U.S. do to support this effort?
Readers who don't live in the United States can contact their local State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or similar branch of government. Tell them that you oppose the draft U.S. SOPA and PIPA legislation, and all similar legislation. SOPA and PIPA will have a global effect - websites outside of the U.S. would be impacted by legislation that hurts the free and open web. And, other jurisdictions are grappling with similar issues, and may choose paths similar to SOPA and PIPA.
Is it still possible to access Wikipedia in any way?
The Wikipedia community, as part of their request to the Wikimedia Foundation to carry out this protest, asked us to ensure that we make English Wikipedia accessible in some way during an emergency. The English Wikipedia will be accessible on mobile devices and smart phones. You can also view Wikipedia normally by completely disabling JavaScript in your browser, as explained on this Technical FAQ page.
I keep hearing that this is a fight between Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Is that true?
No. Some people are characterizing it that way, probably in an effort to imply all the participants are motivated by commercial self-interest. But you can know it's not that simple, because Wikipedia has no financial self-interest here: we are not trying to monetize your eyeballs or sell you products. We are protesting to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA solely because we think they will hurt the Internet, and your ability to access information. We are doing this for you.
In carrying out this protest, is Wikipedia abandoning neutrality?
We hope you continue to trust Wikipedia to be a neutral informational resource. We are staging this blackout because, although Wikipedia’s articles are neutral, its existence actually is not. For over a decade, Wikipedians have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Wikipedia's existence depends on a free, open and uncensored Internet. We are shutting Wikipedia down for you, our readers. We support your right to freedom of thought and freedom of expression. We think everyone should have access to educational material on a wide range of subjects, even if they can’t pay for it. We believe people should be able to share information without impediment. We believe that new proposed laws like SOPA and PIPA (and other similar laws under discussion inside and outside the United States) don’t advance the interests of the general public. That's why we're doing this.

ChaoSerenity
In midst of chaoSerenity battles.
The Net has fallen prey to the Doillar’s harvesters.
One of the last frontiers has become the testing grounds of theories. This latest victim follows the string of uncompromising assaults has brought DOiLLAR’s harvesters into the CyberZone.
Our natural dilemma’s in life, as we try to fuse what we believe, want and have to do be it by personal choice or a corporate directive, remain the same from those of over 700 years ago. ‘There are three things necessary for the salvation of man: to know what he ought to believe; to know what he ought to desire; and to know what he ought to do,’ wrote St. Thomas Aquinas and bear down heavily, as if it were a holy trinity of sorts, weighting on the mind and soul of people.
Are we up to doing what we believe in?
Do we believe in what we do?
Do we do what we do because we want to, need to or ought to? And does any of that matter or does it change anything if the person or company who gave the order to do something changes? Once again, do the, matter and change if you do not agree with the end result regardless of who instructed you? It ought to.
I have searched for some answers of late. But, what if or when what you have been looking for turns and looks you right back? What if you see in the depth of its smoldering eyes something unfathomable. Something too impossible, too outrageous, too fantastical to be true. What if, paradoxically, what we perceive as inconceivable has to be readdressed? What if too many facts take you down a horror-idor that you no longer want to see what is behind the last door because … you won’t understand till you see.
Today, our innate rights as humans are one step closer to joining the victims on the battle field. These are not rights conferred upon us by any god or institution. These are our natural rights. We shall be pitted, one against the other, for another’s glorification. We shall not know the real reason why, but we shall be instructed to remove the others rights.
Have you seen the world of late? The majority exist in silence. Exist a life they believe will leave them unnoticed or tolerated. We have corporations like ExxonMobil who openly do not pay taxes. When confronted by the average man, they fire back with paying taxes will indirectly increase your. They fire back with ~ why should we?, but we pay. We are too small to get away. If you speed, you will get a ticket at best. If they invade another country to steel for their own profit that countries valuables, we re-elect them.
They did not suffer, we wore the uniforms, we filled the bags, we stopped the bullets by drowning them in blood.
We have not chosen to turn a blind eye … we have chosen to be blind.

Saddam Hussein was a CIA man. We all know that. We all know the US put him there to control the oil for them. We all heard he wanted to switch from $ to E. We all saw him die to line one man’s pocket … not enough … CIA got the Iraqi government agreement to have US companies return to Iraq with the same market share as they had before the first gulf war … US oil companies were given the right to first option on all oil related development in Iraq and on leased lands in other countries, … contracts already given out were reassigned to US companies … (Former CIA asset Susan Lindauer ~ America Politics Journal) Gaddafi … didn’t learn. Noriega … The Federal Reserve Bank robbery of the Globe …  Japan … HAARP … the gold mines take over … …. …. the net … rights …. remember the Mozilla/MafiaaFire/DHS issue ? …

Going back to the Mozilla issue, I remember Harvey Anderson, their lawyer touched on an issue pertaining to this topic. Mozilla refused the DHS’s request to remove the MafiaaFire add-on because ‘One of the fundamental issues here is under what conditions do intermediaries accede to government requests that have a censorship effect and which may threaten the open Internet.’ (HJA’s Blog). Instead Harvey brazenly asked and justifies as follows:~ ‘Our approach is to comply with valid court orders, warrants, and legal mandates, but in this case there was no such court order.  Thus, to evaluate Homeland Security’s request, we asked them several questions  similar to those below to understand the legal justification:’ (Techdirt) :~
1. Have any courts determined that MAFIAAfire.com is unlawful or illegal in any way? If so, on what basis? (Please provide any relevant rulings)
2. Have any courts determined that the seized domains related to MAFIAAfire.com are unlawful, illegal or liable for infringement in any way? (please provide relevant rulings)
3. Is Mozilla legally obligated to disable the add-on or is this request based on other reasons? If other reasons, can you please specify.
4. Has DHS, or any copyright owners involved in this matter, taken any legal action against MAFIAAfire.com or the seized domains, including DMCA requests?
5. What protections are in place for MAFIAAfire.com or the seized domain owners if eventually a court decides they were not unlawful?
6. Can you please provide copies of any briefs that accompanied the affidavit considered by the court that issued the relevant seizure orders?
7. Can you please provide a copy of the relevant seizure order upon which your request to Mozilla to take down MAFIAAfire.com is based?
8. Please identify exactly what the infringements by the owners of the domains consisted of, with reference to the substantive standards of Section 106 and to any case law establishing that the actions of the seized domain owners constituted civil or criminal copyright infringement.
9. Did any copyright owners furnish affidavits in connection with the domain seizures? Had any copyright owners served DMCA takedown notices on the seized domains or MAFIAAfire.com? (if so please provide us with a copy)
10. Has the Government furnished the domain owners with formal notice of the seizures, triggering the time period for a response by the owners? If so, when, and have there been any responses yet by owners?
11. Has the Government communicated its concerns directly with MAFIAAfire.com? If so, what response, if any, did MAFIAAfire.com make?’
Now, I’m no lawyer and I don’t know Harvey, but it would seem that Harvey’s reasoning and excuse to protect was based on a semi legal conflict. The law asked him to assist in implementing what they deemed as necessary  Harvey did not. Instead,  and indirectly protecting not just Mafiaafire, but others while jeopardizing Mozilla questioned the unwarranted law with a mix of  positive naturalism.
There is a fine line in everything in life that contradicts everything man made with what is natural. All Harvey had to do was have the DHS cover him legally and comply. But, something ate at him deep inside deep more than the paper work not being in order and it is on line twelve of his blog, above and here again: ‘… evaluate Homeland Security’s request … to understand the legal justification … The problem stems from the use of these government powers in service of private content holders when it can have unintended and harmful consequences … find better mechanisms … without infringing upon developer and user freedoms … ’
To follow the law Harvey, do you really want to ‘justify’ the, ‘evaluate’, understand the ‘governments powers’ to ‘infringe’ on peoples ‘freedom’ with the DHS and ICE?? All you had to do was wait for the warrant. But I understand you. The conflicting dilemma stemming for natural law and positive law is that even if the man made law is correctly documented, who it is coming from does make a difference and overrides man’s laws. Nature (God) is greater that man. We have a commonality and Natural law ‘through its place in the scheme of divine providence … constitutes a set of natural induing and knowable binding and knowable precepts of practical reason.’ (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy).
If it were just the case that Harvey wanted to legally protect himself and Mozilla, if they ever received the warrant that would have sufficed, but note the choice of language. That is not enough for them.  They DO NOT trust the government’s users nor do they believe it is justifiable for they want to ‘evaluate, they want to ‘evaluate’ the legal justification because they fear to set a precedent whereby others, smaller, weaker … etc give in to the governments demands and eventually that may lead ‘harmful consequences’ by the ‘government powers’ ‘infringing upon’ ‘freedoms.’ What is more vague than ‘freedoms’ except … President Obama’s ‘limited power to wage war’ that was passed by Congress but seem to be unlimited in his mind when he secured Algeria for DOiLLAR.
To Obama, what is law. HE is THE LAW …
‘In the case of the Libyan mission, a Democratic president faces concerns from lawmakers of both parties over his decision to act without congressional approval.’ Wonder why the Supreme Court hides when it come to one of DOiLLAR’s wars … ‘the Supreme Court's reluctance in recent years to insert itself in war powers cases and the burden on Congress to change presidential action,’  "The president has been commander in chief since 1789, but this notion that they can go to war whenever they want, and [ignore] Congress, that's a post-World War II attitude," says Louis Fisher, ’ (Council on Legal Foreign Relations)‘ Susan Low Bloch, a constitutional law expert at the Georgetown University Law Center, says the framers of the Constitution deliberately divided the war powers between the two branches to induce them to work together on such a vital issue. "I don't know if they expected conflict, but they wanted coordination and cooperation and shared responsibility,"’ or prevent the ‘government powers … harmful … infringing …’ ‘ … freedoms.’

Really, Presidents do illegal things?? Wouldn’t have imagined like George Bush, Clinton, or even Nixon doing something against the law.  I mean, remember Nixon’s favorite words, ‘I’m not a crook,’ and I believe him. Crooks get away, Nixon was a patsy that helped raise the oil prices, solidify USAudi Arabia, oust the Shah of Iran,

kill his family, help cover J.F.K.’s murder, appoint a future U.S. President to tilt a commission report, be pardon by that traitor later … to name a few. I believe him, don’t you?

Back to Harvey, note the structure of the questions. Note the questions. Q5 ~ what is Mozilla’s place to ask that? Q~ Nice one! Actually, most seem out off place, daring, slightly  but the net rallied behind Harvey ‘It's always nice to see some organizations not just roll over when the government comes calling. Kudos to Mozilla’ (Techdirt) ‘

‘"The Department of Homeland Security is hard at work again, protecting the industry from websites that the big studios don't want you to see. This time they're targeting the Mafiaafire plugin by asking Mozilla to disable the addon at the root level. Instead of blindly complying with the government's request, Mozilla has decided to ask some tough questions instead. Unsurprisingly, when faced with legitimate concerns about the legality of their domain seizure program, the DHS has decided to clam up.”(Slashdot)’ ‘No judge has ever declared a Firefox plug-in called MafiaaFire Redirector to be illegal. But that didn't stop the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from trying to censor it from the Web.’ (CNET) … and why, partially because technically the wrong agency asked ‘"Whether the add-on is unlawful, or whether any speech is unlawful, is for the courts to determine, not for DHS to determine," says Aden Fine, staff attorney with the ACLU's Speech, Privacy and Technology Project. "Nobody from DHS should be going around trying to get speech removed from the Internet before a court decides.”’(CNET News).

MaafiaFire creator slung back and posted a statement on the MafiaaFire blog.

"No court order no nothing, which just goes to show how little they have legally - because if they did have something to pin on MAFIAAFire they already have a sweet lady judge (##Link to article about former RIAA spokesperson now in judges seat##) who is a former RIAA employee to sign off on it," the author wrote.

"They did not even try to contact us," the author added. "Hat's off to Mozilla for sticking up to them, at first we were afraid if Mozilla would even host it due to it's contriversal nature but they truely backed up their open source supporting words with actions."’ (PCMag).

I do like the comment on the PC Mag site after the article ’It's OK to love your country, but fear your government. I do. ’ I like it but don’t agree.
For lucrative reasons the DHS did shut down MaafiaFire without a trial by swiftly using its left arm to scratch their right ear for the entertainment industry.
MaafiaFire fired back saying  “DNS and IP blocking is probably the most dangerous part of SOPA/PIPA in terms of ‘breaking the Internet,’ so we tackled that first. We will be going after the other parts of SOPA in later releases but probably not in ‘our usual plugin form’ – the other parts require different solutions that we have already started work on,” (BoingBoing) and produced MAFIAAFire: The PirateBay Dancing!  that
‘automatically routes your website request via a random proxy for some (that you choose) sites. This has the effect of "unblocking" blocked sites (blocked via DNS/IP address at the ISP level) as well as making 'tracking' you next to impossible’  .

So, here is a ‘Pop quiz: The Political Action Committee for which of the following companies has given the most in donations to lawmakers who have co-sponsored the Stop Online Piracy Act and its Senate-counterpart, the Protect IP Act: Microsoft, eBay, Google, GoDaddy, Yahoo! or Amazon?

Think carefully: all six have come out in opposition to the bill, which would put tight restrictions on Internet firms in an effort to enforce U.S. copyright laws (although some firms took more convincing stands than others). At least two of the companies, Google and Amazon, have said they may go dark to protest the bill.

The PACs of all six companies have given some money to lawmakers who support the proposed legislation, and are broken down below with the amount donated to those legislators and the percentage of total giving that went to SOPA and PIPA supporters in the current campaign finance cycle:

  • Microsoft $88,500 (20.9%)
  • eBay $32,750 (35.5%)
  • Google $29,000 (47.5%)
  • GoDaddy $20,500 (52.9%)
  • Yahoo! $11,000 (35.5%)
  • Amazon $4,000 (42.1%)

We contacted all six companies asking for comment and requested they get back to us by 3 pm ET/noon PT on Thursday. All of the companies missed that deadline, but we'll update if any of them get back to us.

SOPA, and its Senate counterpart, PIPA, would force search engines and websites to block links to sites that are listed as being "dedicated" to copyright infringement. SOPA has been widely endorsed by traditional media companies, but Web firms and free speech advocates have likened it to government-enforced censorship.
All of the donations were made in the 2012 election cycle, and individual donations ranged from $1,000 to a high of $10,000 given to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. by Microsoft. Only two SOPA/PIPA sponsoring lawmakers received donations from all six company PACs: Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.
Among the SOPA/PIPA supporting lawmakers who were the biggest beneficiaries of donations from the PACs of six companies analyzed:
  • Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah $15,500
  • Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va. $14,000
  • Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. $12,000

‘Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.’ ~ J.F.K.  Fear is an irrational beast. You don’t like what they do, fight it!
You don’t believe that State matters and actions pertain to the well-being of a few major corporations? To protect and serve ~ them would be an understatement. Here is the nefarious duo, X~President Ronald Reagan and the infamous CIA attempting to block Western Europe from importing natural gas from Russia in The Farewell Dossier
CIA SLIPPED BUGS TO SOVIETS ~ Memoir recounts Cold War technological sabotage ~
In January 1982, President Ronald Reagan approved a CIA plan to sabotage the economy of the Soviet Union through covert transfers of technology that contained hidden malfunctions, including software that later triggered a huge explosion in a Siberian natural gas pipeline, according to a new memoir by a Reagan White House official.
Thomas C. Reed, a former Air Force secretary who was serving in the National Security Council at the time, describes the episode in "At the Abyss: An Insider's History of the Cold War," to be published next month by Ballantine Books. Reed writes that the pipeline explosion was just one example of "cold-eyed economic warfare" against the Soviet Union that the CIA carried out under Director William J. Casey during the final years of the Cold War.
At the time, the United States was attempting to block Western Europe from importing Soviet natural gas. There were also signs that the Soviets were trying to steal a wide variety of Western technology. Then, a KGB insider revealed the specific shopping list and the CIA slipped the flawed software to the Soviets in a way they would not detect it.
‘Safire was writing a series of hardline columns denouncing the financial backing being given Moscow by Germany and Britain for a major natural gas pipeline from Siberia to Europe. That project would give control of European energy supplies to the Communists, as well as generate US$8 billion a year to support Soviet computer and satellite research’ (Wikipedia)
'Programmed to go haywire'
"In order to disrupt the Soviet gas supply, its hard currency earnings from the West, and the internal Russian economy, the pipeline software that was to run the pumps, turbines, and valves was programmed to go haywire, after a decent interval, to reset pump speeds and valve settings to produce pressures far beyond those acceptable to pipeline joints and welds," Reed writes.
"The result was the most monumental non- nuclear explosion and fire ever seen from space," he recalls, adding that U.S. satellites picked up the explosion. Reed said in an interview that the blast occurred in the summer of 1982.
"While there were no physical casualties from the pipeline explosion, there was significant damage to the Soviet economy," he writes. "Its ultimate bankruptcy, not a bloody battle or nuclear exchange, is what brought the Cold War to an end. In time the Soviets came to understand that they had been stealing bogus technology, but now what were they to do? By implication, every cell of the Soviet leviathan might be infected. They had no way of knowing which equipment was sound, which was bogus. All was suspect, which was the intended endgame for the entire operation."
Reed said he obtained CIA approval to publish details about the operation. The CIA learned of the full extent of the KGB's pursuit of Western technology in an intelligence operation known as the Farewell Dossier. Portions of the operation have been disclosed earlier, including in a 1996 paper in Studies in Intelligence, a CIA journal. The paper was written by Gus W. Weiss, an expert on technology and intelligence who was instrumental in devising the plan to send the flawed materials and served with Reed on the National Security Council. Weiss died Nov. 25 at 72.
According to the Weiss article and Reed's book, the Soviet authorities in 1970 set up a new KGB section, known as Directorate T, to plumb Western research and development for badly needed technology. Directorate T's operating arm to steal the technology was known as Line X. Its spies were often sprinkled throughout Soviet delegations to the United States; on one visit to a Boeing plant, "a Soviet guest applied adhesive to his shoes to obtain metal samples," Weiss recalled in his article.
Then, at a July 1981 economic summit in Ottawa, President Francois Mitterrand of France told Reagan that French intelligence had obtained the services of an agent they dubbed "Farewell," Col. Vladimir Vetrov, a 53-year-old engineer who was assigned to evaluate the intelligence collected by Directorate T.
Vetrov, who Weiss recalled had provided his services for ideological reasons, photographed and supplied 4,000 documents on the program. The documents revealed the names of more than 200 Line X officers around the world and showed how the Soviets were carrying out a broad-based effort to steal Western technology.
'Caused a storm'
"Reagan expressed great interest in Mitterrand's sensitive revelations and was grateful for his offer to make the material available to the U.S. administration," Reed writes. The Farewell Dossier arrived at the CIA in August 1981. "It immediately caused a storm," Reed says in the book. "The files were incredibly explicit. They set forth the extent of Soviet penetration into U.S. and other Western laboratories, factories and government agencies."
"Reading the material caused my worst nightmares to come true," Weiss recalled. The documents showed the Soviets had stolen valuable data on radar, computers, machine tools and semiconductors, he wrote. "Our science was supporting their national defense."
The Farewell Dossier included a shopping list of future Soviet priorities. In January 1982, Weiss said he proposed to Casey a program to slip the Soviets technology that would work for a while, then fail. Reed said the CIA "would add 'extra ingredients' to the software and hardware on the KGB's shopping list."
"Reagan received the plan enthusiastically," Reed writes. "Casey was given a go." According to Weiss, "American industry helped in the preparation of items to be 'marketed' to Line X." Some details about the flawed technology were reported in Aviation Week and Space Technology in 1986 and in a 1995 book by Peter Schweizer, "Victory: The Reagan Administration's Secret Strategy that Hastened the Collapse of the Soviet Union."
The sabotage of the gas pipeline has not been previously disclosed, and at the time was a closely guarded secret. When the pipeline exploded, Reed writes, the first reports caused concern in the U.S. military and at the White House. "NORAD feared a missile liftoff from a place where no rockets were known to be based," he said, referring to North American Air Defense Command. "Or perhaps it was the detonation of a small nuclear device." However, satellites did not pick up any telltale signs of a nuclear explosion.
"Before these conflicting indicators could turn into an international crisis," he added, "Gus Weiss came down the hall to tell his fellow NSC staffers not to worry."
The role that Reagan and the United States played in the collapse of the Soviet Union is still a matter of intense debate. Some argue that U.S. policy was the key factor -- Reagan's military buildup; the Strategic Defense Initiative, Reagan's proposed missile defense system; confronting the Soviets in regional conflicts; and rapid advances in U.S. high technology. But others say that internal Soviet factors were more important, including economic decline and President Mikhail Gorbachev's revolutionary policies of glasnost and perestroika.
Reed, who served in the National Security Council from January 1982 to June 1983, said the United States and its NATO allies later "rolled up the entire Line X collection network, both in the U.S. and overseas." Weiss said "the heart of Soviet technology collection crumbled and would not recover." (Washington Post ~ Industrial Defender)

Who can predict the intentions of the government as the top 5~10 corporations to help list changes by the minute, as business does,
‘While Vetrov was recruited by the French, … The CIA mounted a counter-intelligence operation that transferred modified hardware and software designs over to the Soviets. They instigated an operation of disinformation and faulty technology transfer.
Information from Vetrov also led to the arrest in New York of the spy Dieter Gerhardt, a South African naval officer who had been
passing secrets to the Soviets for 20 years. His handler, Vitaly Shlykov was arrested and subsequently imprisoned in Switzerland while attempting to meet with GerhardtXs wife, Ruth, who was acting as his courier … AMikhail Gorbachev became furious when arrests and deportations of Soviet agents began in various countries, since he was unaware that the contents of the Farewell dossier were in the hands of the main heads of NATO governments. In a meeting of the Politburo on October 22, 1986, called to inform colleagues about the Reykjavik Summit, he alleged that the Americans were Aacting very discourteously and behaving like banditsA. Even though he showed a complacent face to the
public, privately Gorbachev would refer to Reagan as Aa liarA … In 1985, the case took a bizarre turn when information on the Farewell dossier surfaced in France. Mitterrand came to suspect that Vetrov had been a CIA plant set up to test him to see if the material would be handed over to the Americans or kept by the French. Acting on this mistaken belief, Mitterrand fired the chief ofthe French service, Yves Bonnet.[2] The details of the operation were declassified in 1996.
Fidel Castro wrote in a 2007 article that the campaign of countermeasures based on FarewellXs dossier was an economic war; that although no lives were lost in the gas pipeline explosion, the Soviet economy was significantly damaged; and that between 1984 and 1985, the United States and its NATO allies had put an end to the technology spying operation, which had destroyed the capacity of the USSR to capture technology when Moscow was caught between a defective economy on one hand and a US President determined to prevail and end the cold war on the other.’
‘However, Vetrov's espionage was discovered by the KGB, and he was executed in 1983.’ (WP - ID)
All good movies have a second alternate ending, so …
‘It also led to the death of Vetrov … He was arrested, and, in the ensuing investigation, his espionage activities were discovered; he was eventually executed in 1985. CIA had enough intelligence to institute protective countermeasures.’ (Wiki)
I remind you all …
‘The Internet is under siege and users are fighting back. In case you missed the memo, there are two laws currently being debated in the US Congress, the Stop Online Piracy Act or SOPA and the Protect IP Act or PIPA that threaten to change the Internet landscape as we know it.’ (TwistTech)
If you are awaiting a finding of "clear and present danger," then I can only say that the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent.’ ~ J.F.K.

‘Laws can embody standards; governments can enforce laws—but the final task is not a task for government. It is a task for each and every one of us. Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the law flouted—when we tolerate what we know to be wrong—when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy, or too frightened—when we fail to speak up and speak out—we strike a blow against freedom and decency and justice.’  ~ Robert F. Kennedy, June 21, 1961

I was scanning the news the other day for the accidental non-censored information that occasionally slips out from all stations and was slightly disappointed, but not surprised by a Russian news interview of some U.S. citizens.
There, it seemed was a chance for the everyday person to voice their thoughts. Coherent, full ones. Instead, reality spoke.
Q: What do you think of the current situation in the U.S.?
A1: I’m on vacation for 3 days and don’t want to think about any more than that.
A2: It doesn’t have anything to do with my city, so I don’t care.
A3: I don’t want to think about it right now. I only want to shop.
They were candid if nothing else.
Ostentiferous words bound to bring a smile or two on certain faces, some of whom, if given a chance, I would enjoy my time trying to exsuffate the demons within (knowing that they are not separate entities but wondering that if I could succeed, how would I know which is the lesser).

But, why should any of them worry when people don’t really care? Why should they worry when people are denial of facts, facts whose existence has been collaborated  by the very sources they  expose.
I do not NOT like G. Bush (or any of them for that matter). If it were not them, there would be another devil in their place.
There is always a evil. He/she has to have always existed to establish the existence of the outer extremes. So has good.
You have the Bush family, among others, in front of the courts on charges of a possible coup on the U.S. president in 1933. What concrete evidence could be more compelling that ‘after the fact’?  That leads me to understand it is better to safeguard ones name and guarantee to have the demons arrested AFTER THEY KILL THE U.S. PRESIDENT. Care only for yourself! What is one more dead president, if the bodyguards don’t get in the way too much?
That connection to a possible coup did not even affect the Bush’s from getting the U.S. presidency for themselves.
We seem to love to forget.
The Bush’s and Hitler … forget.
The Bush’s and the C.I.A. … forget !
The Bush’s and J.F.K. … forget !
The Bush’s and oil … forget.
And drugs? Forget !
The NSA ? Forget.
Wiretapping? Dito.
The DOJ?  Not important enough.
The U.S Congress? Just bring the oil of the Angles.
Nothing is of concern or an issue until they needed a re-election.
The, you will see bipartisanship in full sync.
We the Democrats forgive, us, the Republicans from Xtremely  illegal wiretapping
since we the Republicans shall find ways to retroactively erase illegalities performed by the telecom industry like Verizon, AT&A, Sprint etc for they shall oil u$, the Democrats.
The … how many example of ‘forgetting’ shall I list?

Forget statistics, history, geography ... Since u know of the 1933 Wall Str. coup, the NSA wiretapping, CIA … etc are you going to vote for Jeb Bush when he runs?

'A' is a beautiful letter. It is a beautiful word too, unlike beautiful that is overused, bland and non-descriptive.
"You 'a' hole!”
"You're beautiful.’
Which word elicits a greater reaction? Which sentence is empowered with raw emotion?
The Picture ?
(The below pictures really wrote their own story.
They (the NeWOrlDer of DOiLLAR) pass on enough subliminal messages to us, that these pictures could be part of their message too.

We like to be amused, lest we see reality.

But from time to time, it is good to see it for what it is, since we are left alone to sort our survival out alone. It is going to get bloodier before it gets any better, but eventually it will. Before we return to the possible attempted coup on President RooseveltIn 1963 they killed the one ray of hope that tried to help us from both sides. But we are resilient little things. To them we are tolerated because they need workers so

because they love

and all that it allows for

So,

since

and fortunately, be it by natural or medicated assistance

So

Take the fact that in 1933, the U.S. House of Representatives lead by J. W. McCormack and S. Dickstein (?) (who later came under alleged bribery) acknowledged in their final report that based on U.S. General Smedley Butler’s allegation of there having been a political conspiracy by ... (((-: Wall Street  to overthrow President Roosevelt, stated that: "In the last few weeks of the committee's official life it received evidence showing that certain persons had made an attempt to establish a fascist organization in this country...There is no question that these attempts were discussed, were planned, and might have been placed in execution when and if the financial backers deemed it expedient.”  No wonder they were under suspicion. They agreed and left it at that ??!! Well, then again, look at the list of some of the suspects who had sworn testimonies made against them from  represented our notable families of Rockefeller, Mellon, Pew, Pitcairn, Hutton, Bush (again ?? Sorry, this conspiracy is before) and  our great enterprises-- Morgan, Dupont, Remington, Anaconda, Bethlehem, Goodyear, GMC, Swift, Sun

General Butler said: (Wikipedia)
“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents”
From War is a Racket org:
“I suspected I was part of a racket all the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all members of the military profession I never had an original thought until I left the service.”

But people, don’t worry ...

Look, we’re human (?) too (?)

Nice ... ?!

So, do we really need words when we want to turn heads or pass a message?

While being on the net, working on DOiLLAR, I gathered a few things of the real world while:

For the ‘a’ hole ...

Speaking of ‘a’ hole ... remember when George got drunk during the Olympics in China?

Bet you he’s wishing she’d drank ...

Well, you know what they say ... ... I don’t, but from other pictures I saw, it was damn lucky that George wasn't driving  ...

Because with some things missing from birth, like

Things would have looked mighty strange ...

Love that sign, it’s

I have another from England on one of the drives from a few years back that I’ll post when I find ... but going back to Mr. Tough, the one who wears ...

After the Thanksgiving dinner turned on him ...

(These guys must have ...

Not Corvette’s so ... because they keep looking around ...

Or should be looking ...

Claiming they are here help, selling themselves

In any order, new or re-designed, for what is order, but mere design in chaos? ...

It’s all an indoctrinated illusion, sold to us Everyday ...

EVERY

WAY BY

Those ...

On their imaginary ...

Not realizing that we are all aware of what they do

On their way to lunch and work

“So, which country do you think we can ...

On, because I feel I ...

KnoWhat I mean?

Let me call

Some friends ...

And

 And

Puppets and see what chaos I can do. We’ll even get congress, the senate ... why hell boy, even if they go and

They'll sanctioned too. ...

Hell, I can’t, I mean ...

For the people except to

Our own business needs.

Off course we’ll distract them with

Sending them in one direction ... .

We'll go public as usual and make a mess of their economy while we, the innocent

Cover our previous head’s of everything.

They’ll get the best ...

...  from the best ...

And as usual, by the end of the week they won’t even knoWhat hit them

No matter how ignorant they are in any country

we invade in one way or another, remember that we’re tourists just passing through and guy’s, remember ...

Otherwise we’ll have to come up with a local

So, what’s on the agenda? Oil? Gold? Water? Agh, whatever! It’s all the same. We can get away with anything.  First we scare them,

kill them or anyone who wants to help them. If that doesn’t works we’ll deny everything even if we do it right in front of them and pass the truth directly and openly to them. That’ll confuse the hell out of them. Then we’ll claim their nuts, conspiracists, traitors ... hell, we’ll even give them democracy because

Look let’s cripple Europe for thinking to highly of their Euro, then get our oil because the puppets want to switch to Euro too, install a reign of chaos all over the middle east and whats that little country whose name goes back 4,000 odd years ... the one which we have all those stupid crooks in pretending to be politicians ... come on we’re doing the STL for them ... whatever, its now

and here, I’ve just a great law, that the economic crisis shall be dealt with by printing new cash and the BBC loved it on the morning show. This is another war where we can syphon things to the Federal Reserve ... love the fact they think it is a conspiracy to believe the FACT that the Federal Reserve Bank IS A PRIVATE INSTITUTION. They print nothings that we cover with what the people owned.  We just made everything necessary

and we, oh yeah, hmmm and

In the meantime, some friends will be dropping by so be docile for as hinted by  Ronald, ‘The nine most terrifying words in the English language are:

'
'

And you do know that

Idiots.” (“Guys, remember in the 50’s, through the 90’s when we helped everyone go against the people who said there was a secret base called Area 51?  We labeled the weirdoes and conspiracy theorists.  Why Big Limp Willy Billy even swayed  half the Supreme court, District Courts in the mid 90’s for it.  I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY THE POPULATION STILL BELIEVE THEY ARE CONSPIRACISTS EVEN AFTER WE ACKNOWLEDGED IN  2003, WHEN WE WERE SUED FOR TOXIC WASTE,  THAT AREA 51 DOES EXIST

Thank God I changed the phrase George gave to loot the planet from "Global War on Terror,” after the September 11, 2001 attacks saying "this administration prefers to avoid using the term 'Long War' or 'Global War on Terror' [GWOT.] Please use 'Overseas Contingency Operation.’” Guys, in theory we killed them so we need a new fandangled  name that covers any excuse. (Oops, did link go bye bye??)

I am glad you all found my last post ‘1933 DOiLLAR NeWOrlDer ...’“ interesting" and "surprising” and for those who sent questions, you are all correct to ask them.

It is true, as some rightly pointed out, I am not American, but. and in a summary, as I wrote to someone recently, the acts being committed now and throughout history have global implications.

There are no borders except on maps in classrooms. One planet. One race.

One internet. A DDos attack (distributed denial of service attack). A data breach. From desktops, laptops to smartphone mobiles, a cyber attack in California and Ohio can ripple to New Zealand, Australia, to Europe and further breaching company security protocols of the likes of Vodafone.
As known in the industry, security on smartphones is fractional to the security on their larger counterparts. Unfortunately, the percentage of users on smartphone is increasing. Their exposure in increasing. Their usage, more widely spread as reiterated by Vodafone Uk, “users were 15 times more likely to use smartphones than laptops to transmit sensitive information while on trains, at client sites and at hotels.". The security: flat.
To quote one if the corporate victims, head of solution sales, Howard Clegg, “It is difficult to get organizations to realize smartphones are as important as laptops in terms of security.’
The ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office is concerned that “it is no longer enough to have policies in place regarding the use and protection of data, they must be actively helping users to comply,” said Clegg. “Organizations with smartphone users should look to better user education and implementing multi-layered security protection technologies … to include things like policy control and management, data protection, network protection, and endpoint protection.” (Source - InfoSecurity Sep-2010)
"Pan-European research undertaken on behalf of Vodafone Global Enterprise confirmed that the issue of network and data security remains a recurring nightmare for senior management, with more than half of the survey respondents confirming that combating security threats was a high priority for their organization ...  Despite such worries, two-thirds of telecoms managers across Europe lacked confidence that their businesses had robust security measures and systems in place to protect sensitive data stored on the device. Nearly one in ten expressed serious doubts, believing that there were likely to be gaps in their security measures.” (Source - InfoSecurity February 25th 2011)
And as we get closer to todays date, Vodafone New Zealand  gets hit by a DDoS attack. It reads like a visible tsunami, they feared was going to hit.
A DDoS attack on Hurricane Electric - the US West Coast peering ISP - in California downed  Vodafone New Zealand. “The New Zealand Herald says that when when Hurricane Electric went down, Vodafone NZ users were unable to gain access to some websites in the US. The paper quotes Vodafone communication spokesman Matt East as saying that residential, business and mobile internet customers were affected.” (Source - InfoSecurity October 5th, 2011)
Who exactly is Hurricane Electric?

Who if Fibernet Corporation?

How are they related?

How does New Dream Network,
of California fit?

What do I have to do with them?

Are they related to the other cyber hack attacks that I have partially mentioned before?

Well, I’ve been studying them all.

At the end it come to this:
It’s a small world.

If the Bush family and cohorts, the Rockefeller’s, the Federal Reserve Bank, Chase, Morgan's, Bilderberg’s, Wall Street and Oil companies can can appear so blatant suspects in two U.S Presidents attempted coup d’etat's, thirty years apart, and it means nothing then ... well ... to some it is coincidence?
(From what I tell you today, it is two, but that does not mean that is all I know)

To others, there is denial of FACT ... 1933 is FACT

When the system we look to for protection is the same system that through various government bodies such as the Supreme Court, the CIA, FBI, X2, MI5, Mossad, etc (remember, there are no boundaries in the business of money) are their tentacles, we must unite not fight one another.

If the Bush family et cohorts can kill US Presidents, what is a hack or two or ... and countries telecom ...

The world is small.
The knowledge will spread.
There is no difference in East and West.

On An Apple & An I

This is just a small update on my last post
Here on CybeRoute66 entitled,
'On iCloud and iBooks.'

A somewhat competent Apple
Employee was asked about the iCloud issue.
To paraphrase the
Apple employee,
They assuming the general
user has
A combined total iTunes
account no
Having no bigger than 64mb storage needs,
And that’s only since they made their
iPhone 64mb.

???

Yup, that’s it in a nutshell.
The three import points in the Conversation can be summed up as Follows: 1: they
Assume you can sync via iCloud
EVERYTHING you own because You only own exactly or less Than the iGadgets they produce Can hold. If, however you decide to Own more than they have Anticipated ‘that’s their problem And not Apples.’ Their only Problem is to get you to buy Things knowing you do not Really end up owning anything. Every so often read the new Terms they send you as you are Trying to do something.
DO NOT ASSUME YOU HAVE
ANY RIGHTS WITH APPLE. YOU ARE NOW JUST A NUMBER.
Excuse me, but maybe there Should be a standard like in any other Industry.
People who assume Cannot imagine nor create since anything Can and will be tarnished having
Been bent to any assumption They so desire to ASSume. Can’t Imagine an automotive Manufacturer producing a car And saying we are not putting Seat belts  because ‘that’s their problem And not Apples.’
Roll bars incase of a rollover?
‘that’s their problem And not Apples.’; A petrol gauge without An empty indicating light, because
In their limousines, ‘that’s the
Drivers problem And not the Apple exec.
GREAT vision bending
The market to you're understanding.
Really, how can you prepare for events,
Situations etc if you have not attempted
To foresee the inevitable:
Market Evolution ??!!
Anticipate the worst case scenario, prepare for
It and you are ready for any eventuality.

ASSUME THE BEST CASE SCENARIO ...
AH, YOUR A FOOL THEN.

Seriously, Xcellent forecasting technique. REALLY XCELLENT.
 2:  MobileMe WAS a
Mistake and that is why they
Came up with iCloud.
Yes we iCloud the problems YOU
Had under the rug.
iMagic ??
They didn’t learn anything,
Just to change the name.
They have a captured market
Prisoners, may be a better word.
3: The new iBooks now does
Copy and past, but that is if
Your books open. Otherwise,
Since you ace only 1 book,
Download it again.
40% of my books DO NOT work
In the new iBooks and I have to
Re-download them again.
That’s 40% of 2,200 books.

Apple, the worm is back.

On a side note, when asked about the
Issue of why iTunes deletes apps.
From an iGadget that were purchased
While someone was on the road,
The Apple exec. said that wasn't true.
iTunes does not delete apps.
On request, he downloaded an app.,
Connected his iPad to his laptop and showed
Us how iTunes does not delete apps.
WITHIN 30 SECS THE APP WAS
DELETED BY iTUNES.

... ?!?!?!?

SUBJECT WAS CHANGED.

DO YOU GUYS AT APPLE
ACTUALLY TEST ANYTHING ???

You can skirt everything by passing
The fault over to the user. That can be done.

If there are some things I knew about Steve,
One of them is this, he would listen to any
Idea that would better Apple, the product,
The customer, the experience ...
ANYTHING !

THE GOOD,
THE BAD AND THE UGLY NEWS
WAS A WAY TO FIX TOMORROW.

IF YOU DO NOT GUAGE EXPERIENCE HIGHLY, WHY CHANGE ANYTHING
EXCEPT TO RETALIATE WHEN THE COMPETITOR DOES?
YOU DON'T NEED A GOOD PRODUCT,
JUST ANYTHING AND FAULT THE CUSTOMER.

NOW I UNDERSTAND BETTER THOSE TOP APPLE EXECS I KNOW WHO SAID THAT
AFTER STEVE, THEY WOULD LEAVE BECAUSE
APPLE WOULD
NOT
BE THE SAME.

I STILL DO NOT AGREE,
HOWEVER, I DO UNDERSTAND THEM BETTER.

EVERY COMPANY THAT ASKED MY OPINION ON HOW TO TRANSITION FROM A JUNCTION LIKE THAT AND DID NOT LISTEN ARE UNNECESSARILY BUT 1/10TH THEIR ORIGINAL SIZE.

TO ME SOMETHING YOU
VALUE IS WORTH
FIGHTING FOR!

A MAN,
A WORD,
A MEMORY,
THE RIGHT THING
FOR YOU THAT IS NOT AT FAULT THE MONEY??

Now, irrelevant from who had
What, when and for how long,
Are you implying people with
ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Psoriasis
Etc are ... ????
I don’t know, and believe not many
Do know accurately what percentage
Of the Earth’s population have one,
Or more of those, but I would
Be quite sure the percentage is high
And growing as we understand the
Brain, Skin, Eyes ... Government, better.
So, what exactly are you implying ??
YES, WE ARE WAITING ???

People often mumble, 'Life is hell.'

Could be, I know off enough devils
Here on this planet that do make it so,
But what interests me is if true,
What percentage of that is self brought about,
And what is the general average
For indirect, external factors.

I know that this is all but impossible
To taking the days of a life span and
Analyzing the the events, things that
Turned sour to see if it was unnatural or natural
Direct, indirect,
Consequential, accidental factors.

Maybe, for some live it is easier since fine line
Really do not exist and the grey is black.
But even then, there must have been a point
Of, and maybe unseen 'opportunity',
If one could do it again, to not walk down
The path of increased external factors.

I've tried, but for the life of me,
I can't see it in mine.
Because of the issue's in my life,
I would repeat it, even at my own detriment.

To those unfamiliar as to what I speak off,
By December the 19th you will be up to speed.

On December 19th, 2009,
After nearly 5 years of corporate war,
Following 40 odd years of subjugation,
I walked into an office set on ending
The aggressors tyranny arresting by
Having him and 4 others arrested.

A grace period of 6 months was requested,
To show new found good intentions.
Now, closing on the 2 year anniversary
Of misery, tied to 45 years of more,
Compounded, interest etc, I have,
And over time you will see as to why,
To go back in time, an older person,
And do what I should have finished then.

For Principle, Honor, +
You always know what is the Correct,
The intrinsically Right thing to do.
Courage is the willingness to do the
Right thing in the face of monumental odds.
Knowledge is the tool.

People ask to temporarily grace them with
The wisdom to do the right thing.
Sometimes they request courage too.

Wisdom is the ability to look back at the thing
You were doing when the voices of the people you
Were helping pleaded for you to give
The other people a second, and years later,
Still love those people for not understand,
As usual you were right, and years of life
Have but faded into but wrinkles.

Yes, I know I said the four letter word,
BUT, Love, is what makes being mortal, immortal.

A combined 300 to 400 years of subjugation
End on December 19th, 2011.

(Mainly because I want to enjoy one year before
December 21st 2012
When the calendar restarts.)

NO REGRETS.

Difference, is a fine line between why what is practiced is done and simply what is the system to follow.  but in essence, the FRB can not create new physical currency. That is the duty of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP, GOV), as it is the only entity theoretically allowed to manufacture, print, and or mint U.S. Monies.  The U.S. Treasury request the production of new monies after it is informed by the Federal Reserve what it has destroyed since it is  only entity authorized to destroy currency deemed worthy which it must report to the U.S. Treasury. The Federal Reserve can only issue/create electronic loans for financial entities theoretically based on it's gold reserves that must be approved by the U.S Treasury.

Let's repeat something, 'Difference, is a fine line
Between why what is practiced is done
And simply what is the system to follow.'
So what is the Federal Reserve Note,
The Federal Reserve Bank Note and
That Emergency Economic Stabilization Act
(EESA) of 2008 authority ...
Hey, just one darn coken picking moment,
But couldn't that lead to OMO (open market operation)!?

I mean, not that the FRB would do that by design,
But control of electronic frontier?! WOW !!! COOL !!!!
Who wants paper anyway,
When you can have the erasable digital stuff.

So only the BEP can create money ??? Really ???!!!

What's that thing called within the financial world ...
... Electronic records !!!
Electronic credit, debits, fed funds rate,
And interest could change a banks account balance.
Wait, could that not also lead to someone changing the interest rate?

Interesting. And what is it called when the FRB goes to shopping at Blooming  ... Open Market Operations (OMO). Wow, didn't we also give it a pretty sounding name like the Federal Open Market Committee??
Well thank Hubba Bubba that we have the Treasury to keep things in check. Thank Hubba Bubba that the Feds, that PRIVATE bank, doesn't really dictate the money supply and interest rate, U.S. policy etc of them UNITED STATES. Hmmmm ... Wise up!!!

If  the twelve little pigs and their cousins the Bank of England and the   go shopping , what could they buy to make their PRIVATE bank stronger ... government bonds, United States Treasury securities, foreign currency,  gold, oil, repo's, interest rate targeting, electronic replacement of money supply, ... Nonvolatile is a flexible term, I mean whose to say what amounts of be they commercial or consumer loans are indeedy linked proportionally to any institutions reserves, also regardless of whether they are people or institution, companies or banks? Funny, these things don't really happen  they are only theories and yet the interest rate when banks borrow unsecured funds from other banks has a name. Well, whack me upside my un-intelligent coconut, a name for something that doesn't exist!? Cool, what is it, because I've never heard it!? LIBOR.

I'm not capable to say that, because such a practice, if sold to the world by charismatic leader like Willy Clinton, R. Reagan etc could lead to a financial crisis.

So, it is no wonder that the end, signed draft of the EESA of 2008 did not have the original  nominee designated, (the Secretary of the Treasury and logical entity) to be in charge of an economic recovery program. Instead and under almost dictatorial terms and guidance by the Paulson proposal , position did not go to the Secretary of the Treasury, and that section was almost forbidden to even be consider for review and amendment  by later generations (especially in such an open democratic country as the United States that wages democratic wars) with this sentence:
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.”

An economy based on theoretical digital reserves held by and at the discretion of the head loan shark with offices  ... Go find it yourselves.
My recommendation, start at Wiki.

Try the newly re-decorated Mosaic restaurant.
To wash down what you could loosely term as ...
I'M THINKING ... HOLY HUBBA BUBBA
F^S, I believe is right, order a gin & tonic
(it's not even Schweppes) then when they
Have the audacity to bring the bill, check it out.
A gin & tonic is actually charged as a gin and a tonic,
Two separate drinks.  The Schweppes wanna be
That I was told  retails for  50 at a local supermarket,
Is charged  to guests at $6. Not too shabby!!
And that excludes  the fact that they buy it cheaper
At wholesale prices. I know the luxuries cost in life,
But guys, put a "Bend Over" sign at the door for
You guests there an at the Vendome.

Honestly, forget it way to many links which may mot interest you.

ON
How the Internet started:-

Well, you might have thought that you knew how the Internet started,
but here’s the TRUE story .....

In ancient Israel , it came to pass that a trader by the name of
Abraham Com did take unto himself a young wife by the name of Dot.

And Dot Com was a comely woman, broad of shoulder and long of leg.
Indeed, she was often called Amazon Dot Com.

And she said unto Abraham, her husband:
"Why dost thou travel so far from town to town with thy goods
when thou canst trade without ever leaving thy tent?"

And Abraham did look at her -
as though she were several saddle bags short of a camel load,
but simply said:
"How, dear?"

And Dot replied:
"I will place drums in all the towns and drums in
between to send messages saying what you have for
sale, and they will reply telling you who hath the best price.

And the sale can be made on the drums and delivery made by Uriah’s Pony Stable (UPS)."

Abraham thought long and decided he would let Dot
have her way with  the drums.
And the drums rang out and were an immediate success.
Abraham sold all the goods he had at the top price,
without ever  having to move from his tent.

To prevent neighboring countries from overhearing what the drums were saying,
Dot devised a system that only she and the drummers knew.
It was called Must Send Drum Over Sound (MSDOS),
and she also developed a language to transmit ideas and pictures
- Hebrew To The People (HTTP)

But this success did arouse envy.
A man named Maccabia did secrete himself inside Abraham’s drum
and began to siphon off some of Abraham’s business.
But he was soon discovered, arrested and prosecuted
- for insider trading.

And the young men did take to Dot Com’s trading as doth the greedy
horsefly take to camel dung.

They were called Nomadic Ecclesiastical Rich Dominican Sybarites,
or NERDS.

And lo, the land was so feverish with joy at the new riches
and the deafening sound of drums that no one noticed
that the real riches were going to that enterprising drum dealer,
Brother William of Gates, who bought off every drum maker in the land.

And indeed did insist on drums to be made that would work only with
Brother Gates’ drumheads and drumsticks.

And Dot did say:
"Oh, Abraham, what we have started is being taken  over by others."

And Abraham looked out over the Bay of Ezekiel,
or eBay as it came to  be known.
He said: "We need a name that reflects what we are."

And Dot replied: "Young Ambitious Hebrew Owner Operators."
"YAHOO,"  said Abraham.
And because it was Dot’s idea,
they named it YAHOO Dot Com.

Abraham’s cousin, Joshua, being the young
Gregarious Energetic Educated Kid (GEEK) that he was,
soon started using Dot’s drums to locate things around the countryside.
It soon became known as
God’s Own Official Guide to Locating Everything (GOOGLE)

And that is how it all began.
