Ken Rochon & I are putting together a Book Coaching Program-Get Your Book Done Now!  It's inspired me to tell the story of my own transition from employee to "own boss" and what I've learned along the way!  Still playing with the title.  Plan to have it out Nov. 15th.  Being held accountable by others' increases your success rate 65%!  And this program offers KNOWLEDGEABLE authors.

I am one of 4, I think, editors of Ken's 2nd edition!  Any mistakes are mine! :)  Content?  Ken's! :)

Well, time to write!  Any budding authors-wanna come along?

They say, who exactly are "they" anyway?  But, I digress...They say "Life Happens while you make plans".  Yep.  Boy, do I agree!  After an incredibly busy non-stop week culminating in SpaDay-a fundraiser for CancerSuportFoundation.org!  Like a trade show with 10 min. free massage or reiki or, in my case-a self test and 10 min. mini coaching session...So, up and out the door 7:45am til 4:30pm-long day after a loong week!   My networking group, Networking Central is also focusing on 2 non-profits, CancerSupportFoundation.org & The Light of Truth Center...Look at the Fan Page on Facebook.  My networking group lets me bring great people together, help much needed non-profits "by giving back" in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.  Sure, you exchange biz cards, but, more importantly, you're making connections & building relationships.  That's what I love to do... Sat. night, had no energy to do anything!

Sat. night, I crashed big time-went to bed about 7pm (which is way too early for me!)  I'm usually a night owl and go to bed 12-1am!  Sunday, I was pretty useless -napping intermittently and being a couch potato-reading ,not TV.

Mon.-Wed-more of same.   I realized I overdid it and my body shouted to rest!  I did.  Now, I feel better.  I absolutely despise limitations-I'm a 7 on the Enneagram!  They hate having choices taken away.  Yep.  But I also hated being at mercy of some unknown health issue!  So, rest it is.  Don't overdo.

Not curtailing my networking and follow up strategies, but making a conscious choice to do more online networking.  Attending 3-4 events but not back to back! :)

Still reclaiming my life & biz..but, like most things-Moderation is the key!  So, connect with me-help me stay healthy & happy!

As I said, I want to recapture all the momentum I created almost 2 years ago!  Not going to happen...and I'm learning to be ok with that!  And now, I need to work on forgiving myself...for being sick?!  Where's the sense in that?  Would I be upset if a client took ill?  Of course not.

I find, as a solo-entrepreneur, I'm way harder on myself than is in the realm of humanity!  I expect-no one else but ! EXPECT more from me-perfection!  Yet, I know that's not the way to motivate anyone-least of all-me! :)  Never would I even think of browbeating my client!  I want them to succeed and be happy and successful however my client defines success.

My definition is very broad-I truly want a lifestyle entrepreneurial business that affords me to do what I want when I want...Of course, that is, in part, doing the work I love & working with Can-Do clients open to creativity and trying something new.

My short-term goal is to have 15 coaching clients/ week, by phone or at my office-Elkridge Landing Rd or White Marsh at Mystickal Voyage by Dec.31st, 2010 Skype and unlimited long distance serve me well as I coach my clients in Europe!

Last week, I was busy with networking, then following up daily.M-Sat!  Big Lesson-I cannot do this again-I need at least 1-2 days unstructured to conduct individual meetings, make phone calls and generally work on Business-building activities.

What is your short term goal?

I've been having some health challenges & was 'off the grid" for over a year!  Now, I'm trying to reclaim both my life and my business.  Actually, I am my business!  Well, not completely...When I say my business is my life!  That who I am  and what I do are in congruence.  I am a Life Transitions Expert & Marketing Coach.  I don't turn my coaching life on & off!  It's who I am-I love helping people, mostly women, in transition-either those wanting to get out of Corporate America changing careers/jobs or midlife women Solo-Entrepreneurs who want to create a life they love, like me!  How does Marketing fit in?  Easy-Marketing is vital to your business! And I think it's really fun and many say I'm good at it, too!

As a boomer/midlife woman Solo-Entrepreneur, I've learned many things I need to create the life & business I love!  I specialize in low -cost/no -cost marketing strategies and help women solo-entrepreneurs take their business and grow and achieve their dreams/goals.  Being a part of their journey is so fulfilling-I love it and am fully invested in the success of my coaching clients.

As I said, I'm reclaiming everything in my life-business, included.  I'm on a journey, walking more, going to Curves & working out which makes me stronger and better balanced.  All my health issues involved balance or lack thereof!  So, I'm trying to have LIFE/work balance but want to do it all and have it all YESTERDAY!

I know-patience!  I'm trying...I help my coaching clients establish goals & break the long-term goals into bite size chunks...So, a long-term goal by Jan. 1, 2011, I want to be seeing 15 Coaching Clients/week!  Now, let's break it down into smaller steps....In order to attract coaching clients-these 3 things need to happen each week-1.attend 4 networking events & start follow up process.2. Schedule 3 1 on 1 meetings with prospective clients/strategic alliances for collaboration efforts. 3. Conduct 5 follow up phone calls daily.

These are my first 3 actions I must do in order to achieve my 6 month long term Goal!  Stay tuned!

Hi!

I have my Transition Chick blog.  Moving it to my main site eCareerCorner.com.  I say main as I have 34 domains...And will get more as I think of new books I've yet to write!  Nuff about me!

Why do Perfect Networkers rock?  Well, I'll tell ya!  I'm an Ambassador/Charter member & "raving fan" of PN & Ken Rochon!  Proofing his new versions of book and e-book!  So, any errors are mine!

Let's see when next edition launches with more Ken!  Gotten a gig from PNer, Kathy Hamilton, working on getting covers for e-books and an illustrator, right Tara & Carolyn?  And connecting to Rosie Ruzica - for cover photo of next book, A Solo-Entrepreneur's Journey out Sept.  I say, confidently.

Doing a speaking gig in Sept. at Balt. Convention Center via a FB contact-who soon will be a new PNer!  Telling many of PN & challenge all my fellow PNers to do the same.  And got Networking Central booked til Feb. 16, 2011! :)  Started bookings mid-May.Any suggestions on places to go and use...Coming to DC-not sure where?  I'm a Marketing Coach-focussing on Women in transition becoming Solo-Entrepreneurs.  And helping look at low cost or NO COST maketing strategies.I "walk my talk".

I confessed to my Networking "addiction"...But, these connections make me greater than me alone!  That's just one more reason PN rocks!  Many thanks to Liz O'Donnell, writer extraordinaire, former coaching client turned entrepreneur!  We now team up under Marketing Communications, yet another networking contact that blossomed!

In Abundance!

Let's connect!
