We are very powerful in that we all have thoughts that lead us to be our identity. When we believe these thoughts, they transform us into who we believe we are for good or bad.
"I am" is that powerful identity statement, and what follows is what we do to prove this identity statement to be correct.
I've noticed that the biggest reason I don't exercise like I used to is that I do not equate my identity with 'athlete' anymore. And thus have removed the habits that validated that identity.
Ever since I joined PerfectNetworker, I assumed that identity. I told myself "I am a/the Perfect Networker" and I defined a/the Perfect Networker from my business readings, and from my belief system. One of my strongest beliefs was the characteristic of 'contribution'. For when we contribute to others we are not only giving them a gift, but we are giving ourselves a gift as well.
The gift of course is the satisfaction that we have made a difference, and the bonus for those of you who believe in karma is that it comes back to you... many times over.
My recent awareness was that I considered the power of contribution to be something I could do daily, when in fact I could do it hourly. This has multiplied my impact and of course the rate at which I experience this karma effect. Needless to say, I had to share in this blog how powerful we are in hopes, that my blog contributes to each of us being more powerful with our thoughts, and our actions.
Please take a moment today to thank the person who contributed to you either by writing a recommendation, or a quick note. I like the fact that this site acknowledges contribution by having the person who shared the site with you be a part of your proflie.
My favorite quote now is "Be the Change in The World You Want to See" ~ Ghandi
"I want to see a world that contributes to each others happiness, to each others success and to each others dreams" ~ Ken Rochon
