Marla L. Caplan, MBA, LSW, CHCE

Vice President of Corporate Services

Marla comes with over sixteen (16) years of industry experience, a visionary, result driven leader with managerial proficiencies and competence, executive leadership, and business development.  Her expertise is unique with both a clinical and business savvy, combining direct practice/clinical knowledge with business management.  She has experience and knowledge in both the provider and the Managed Care Organization’s (insurer) perspective of services. Marla is now an equity partner in the Company.

Marla triumphs with possession of Master Degrees in Business Administration, Healthcare Ethics, and Social Work.  A licensed Social Worker with multiple industry certifications including a Fellow in the American Psychotherapy Association, a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and a Certified Healthcare Ethicist.  Marla has completed the Pennsylvania State approved Nursing Home Administrator program; and is pending an additional Master in Public Policy and Analysis degree.

Marla currently and has served for the past three (3) years as a Committee Member for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Ethics Committee, UPMC CORID ( Committee for Oversight of Research Involving the Dead), and is contracted as a Healthcare Ethicist Consultant with UPMC Presbyterian and  Montefiore Hospitals.   She also serves on the Board of Directors for American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) of Western Pennsylvania.

Marla brings extensive experience as an Executive Level Director from a variety of industry niches. Her role within the Hospice and Home Health lines of business has demonstrated a strong patient advocacy, as well as providing community education. Marla brings her vast talents to the Corporate Development team as a strong leader with experienced vision.
