Networking anyone? - May 11, 2012
NETWORKING! - How often have you heard or read this word and felt a feeling of dread, disinterest or confusion? Networking isn’t hard work but if it is then you’re not doing it properly. Let’s begin with a few negatives – it’s not network marketing, it’s not difficult and it’s not boring. Now on to the positives – it’s EXCITING, it’s a LIFE SKILL and most importantly, you can LEARN how to network - it will certainly make a difference in your life and if you want to become a Perfect Networker, you’ll then be making a difference in others’ lives too! Now that’s networking at it’s absolute best!
Springtime!! - Apr 09, 2012
Well, the yellowy daffodils may have disappeared but beautiful pink and white spring blossoms are shaking their petals in the cool breezes. We may also be shaking our heads at the general state of things as change, an ever-present constant in the universe continues to dramatically affect our lives. Jobs are few but job-seekers are many and working on your skillset is a must to gain an edge over the competition. Many people view networking as a time-consuming activity and yes, it can be depending on how much you want to gain from it. It doesn’t have to take up too much of your valuable time if done efficiently and in an organised way. From professionals, executives, networking event organisers, professional networkers, to the Connectors and the Super-connectors (those who have incredibly huge networks and connect with everyone) – these people all understand the importance of networking in their lives or may have an absolute passion for it as they know the many benefits and rewards it can offer. If you are new to networking or wish to improve your networking skills, why not join a networking group and connect with more people. Being more visible and active online will go a long way towards encouraging more contacts to your network and don’t forget the offline networking events! Enjoy a Perfect Easter Monday!
